Rona Lalezary


Rona Lalezary and her husband Arash have been Hillel parents for the past 6 years, with three children currently in the school, Eliana (entering 2nd grade), Gabriel (entering Kindergarten) and Rachel (entering Pre-Nursery). Rona has a deep passion for community involvement and creating an environment of kehilla. Her leadership philosophy is one of empowerment and inclusion, inspiring others to lead and find meaningful opportunities to make an impact.

Prior to having children, Rona received her MBA with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship from The UCLA Anderson School of Management. After business school Rona worked as an investment professional at JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs in their Private Wealth Management offices. Rona's undergraduate education was also at UCLA, with a degree in Mass Media Communications. Rona spent several years raising funds for international non-profits, predominantly The
Jewish Federation of LA.

Rona currently is an avid writer, has a parenting blog and contributes her pieces to several publications including the Jewish Journal. She and her family love to travel and spend many of their free hours over the weekends hiking the beautiful trails along Southern California.

Shana Rostami

Vice President

Shana loves being a mother and spending time with her husband and three children, Ezra, Levi, and Ellie who are currently in Pre-1, Kindergarten and Pre-Nursery. Her children motivate her to be an integral part of the PTA. Her commitment to help the Hillel progress and flourish has become a true passion for her.

Shana is a licensed real estate broker with an extensive knowledge about the Beverlywood area and its periphery. She has lived in many different areas in California, which has enhanced her understanding of residential real estate in Los Angeles. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish Studies from UCLA.

Shana is a self-taught chef and loves to travel. She provides a variety of different recipes on her Instagram Blog, Savoryfooddaily.

Neda Khoshnood


Neda currently has two children at Hillel, one in kindergarten and one in nursery. Her love of teaching and being around children drew her to the PTA. She is looking forward to working with the wonderful families of Hillel that make being part of this school community so special and unique.

Danya Hoenig


Danya and her husband, Jon, are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children - Ella Rose in 4th grade, Jacob in 8th grade, and Mitchell, a Hillel graduate, now a sophomore at Shalhevet. Over the past 15 years at Hillel Hebrew Academy, Danya has watched the school blossom and grow, especially under the guidance of Rabbi Sufrin's loving leadership and vision.

Professionally, Danya is a Physician Assistant (PA), specializing in her husband's, eyelid and facial plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills. She has been taking more and more time away from work in order to dedicate her time to the PTA at Hillel and Shalhevet schools, and spend lots of time with her kids, while they still want her around!

In her free time, Danya enjoys hiking, yoga, photography, web development, and reading.

Rena Cohen

Rena Selya Cohen is the proud mother of a 4th grader and an 8th grader. She is also a room parent and an active member of the Book Fair committee.
